Clara Freist, B.A.
Clara Freist is a student assistant in the MeDiMi project “Human Rights Discourses in Political Protests of Refugees and Undocumented Migrants in Germany and the United States.” She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Theory at Goethe University Frankfurt. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French at Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg.
Her research interests include decolonial and anticolonial theory, critical migration and border studies, as well as protest and resistance politics. In her Master's thesis, she examines how the concept of (in)dignity is actualized as critique of the European border regime through migration-related resistance practices.
In addition to her academic work, she is engaged in various practical activities, including political education and solidarity-based neighborhood projects.
