Laura Goller, M. Iur.
Laura Goller is a Research Associate at the Center for Diversity, Media, and Law (DiML) and a PhD candidate at the Chair of Public Law and European Law at JLU Giessen. She is an associated MeDiMi researcher and is involved in the exchange and networking of the MeDiMi Research Associates by co-leading the section “Human Rights Discourse in Migration Societies” at the Giessen Graduate Centre for Social Sciences, Business, Economics and Law (GGS). From April to December 2024, she was a Research Associate in MeDiMi’s coordination unit and acted as community coordinator for the MeDiMi conference on “Human Rights in Migration Societies” 2024.
Laura studied law and political science at the Universities of Münster and Turin and passed the First State Examination in Law at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm in 2023. In her studies, she focused on international and European law and completed the specialized foreign language training “International Law” at the University of Münster. Her research interests include international and European migration law, its human rights dimensions and political contexts. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to law through social and cultural science findings and methodology.
